How To Detoxify From Chemotherapy & Radiation

Our bodies go through a cleansing process every day. The intestines, liver, and kidneys are all involved, whisking away toxins from the environment, stress, and the food you eat—waste products that, if left in your body, can build up and cause you problems Therefore flushing them out is very important.

If you’ve been going through chemotherapy or radiation treatments, however, most likely your system is overloaded with waste products. Excess toxins in our systems have been known to cause fatigue, stomach bloat, headaches, muscle aches, poor memory, and they suppress your immune system.

Chemotherapy drugs are toxic to all cells in your body and cause cancer all by itself. Radiation can damage healthy cells and create toxic buildup; even cancer cells themselves become toxins as they wither up and die.

Hot water opens the pores, allowing perspiration to take toxins away, as well as increasing absorption of nutrients such as magnesium (improves blood flow and reduces inflammation),  and sulfate (in the salts), which help generate enzymes that clean up the body. Baking soda helps neutralize the effects of radiation.

If you weigh 100 pounds, use one cup of Epsom salts. Use an additional ½ cup for each additional 50 pounds. For example, 101-150 pounds = 1 ½ cups. 151-200 pounds = 2 cups. 201-250 pounds =2 ½ cups. The detox bath is for a full 40 minutes. The first 20 minutes pulls out toxins. The second 20 minutes absorbs magnesium and sulfates.

The fastest way to eliminate the toxins after chemotherapy is to sweat. In a 2011 study, noted in the Archives of Environmental and Contamination Toxicology, “Many toxic elements appeared to be preferentially excreted through sweat. Presumably stored in tissues, some toxic elements readily identified in the perspiration of some participants were not found in their blood serum. Induced sweating appears to be a potential method for eliminating toxic chemicals from the human body.”
