How to Make Homemade Brown Rice Milk

Why brown rice and not white rice?  Are they the same?

According to a research article published in, the secret to brown rice and its cancer fighting properties is due to it’s large quantiles of the trace mineral Manganese.1   Brown rice has been found to be associated in the suppression and reduction of cancer.  Brown rice is best known for suppression and reduction of cancer in the prostate, breast and colon.2

White rice has been stripped of many of the vitamins, minerals and fiber compared with brown rice.  Any time a food source has been scrubbed or precooked for faster cooking or increasing its sweet taste, it has been reduced in its overall health value.3   If you have no other rice, use white rice.

What is in brown rice milk?

These are the ingredients that I use to make 1 gallon of brown rice milk:

  1. 5 cups of 9.5 pH water
  2. 2 table spoons of extra virgin olive oil
  3. 1 cup of brown rice
  4. ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  5. ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
  6. Whey Cool, from Designs for Health, one serving scoop, per ½ gallon of water
  7. 5 table spoons of organic sugar or sugar substitute or sweetener (see chart below)4
  8. 2 table spoons of Organic Coconut oil (Adjust any and all ingredients to taste)
  9. You will need 2- ½ gallon containers of water, 2 cups for the whey cool, sweetener, and oil
  10. 1 gallon of alkaline water, I use 9.5 pH water.

Not that we know the ingredients, let’s put this together:

I always make my rice the old fashion way, on the stove top.  Place a 1 quart pan on the stove, place the 2.5 cups of water in the pan along with the cinnamon and nutmeg.  Bring these to a boil while stirring occasionally at first and stir consistently when the water begins to boil.

As soon as the water starts to boil add the rice, and 2 table spoons of olive oil.  Reduce heat to medium low.  Stir until everything settles to a simmer, cover and set your timer to 1 hour.

While the rice is cooking place ½ gallon of water into your blender.  I use a VitaMix with the crazy fast switch that can turn an old shoe into juice if you leave it in long enough.  Place your Whey Cool protein, sweetener, and coconut oil into the blender with the ½ gallon of water.  You should have another ½ gallon of water and the exact same ingredients set aside, ready for the blender in the 2nd ½ gallon batch.

When the timer rings at 1 hour your brown rice should be tender and ready to place ½ of the rice into the blender with the water, whey cool, sweetener and coconut oil.  This part is not an exact science but I draw a line in the pan with my eyes and add ½ the rice to the blender.  Since I am using the VitaMix, I turn the machine on to the highest speed for 3 minutes.  The coconut oil keeps most of the foam from spilling out and becomes the cream of the mix.  After the 3 minutes pour the rice milk into your ½ gallon container.  There should be a lot of foam after you pour it into your ½ gallon container so leave the lid off to let the air out of the mix.  This takes about 15 minutes.  Cover the container and place in the refrigerator to chill.  Repeat this exact process with the second half of the mix.

When your brown rice milk is chilled you can use it as a substitute for almost any milk you desire.  You will notice there are little particles settling at first.  After the milk has been shaken and used a couple times the nutmeg, cinnamon and any other heavy particles will be mixed in much better.

In conclusion:

Cancer loves sugar and cancer lives in an inflammatory environment.   If you make your own rice milk drink you control all the ingredients.  If you use the chart above, you can control every aspect of this part of your diet.  This receipt should be modified to fit your desires and needs.

Cow’s milk can be highly inflammatory and remember cancer lives in an inflammatory state.  In short cow’s milk was designed by God to make a 50-pound new born calf into a 500-pound yearling.  Cow’s milk can and should be consumed as a condiment, at best, not poured over a box of processed grain cereal.  When milk is homogenized it becomes lifeless.  When you make your own rice milk it will become your partner in your health program.

If you were to purchase Rice Dream rice milk, 15 gallons, you will pay approximately $105.

If you make your own rice milk, using the finest whey cool protein available, you will pay approximately $81 for the same 15 gallons of rice milk drink.  I developed this receipt and I have saved thousands of dollars over the years my wife and I have been drinking it.  This is a tool and a gift from ‘bon apatite’.
